Main Responsibilities

• As Senior Contracts Engineer, you are part of our contracts team and you are responsible for managing and administrating all main contract activities on Projects
• You work closely with the Project Team
• You will manage all related subcontracting activities on various Projects in a timely, quality focused and budget driven way in accordance with the Company Management System (CMS)
• Contribute to subcontracting strategies, preparing subcontracting strategies in line with the project objectives
• You will be the Lead contracts engineer on the larger projects.
• You will oversee preparation of invitations to tender through evaluation of tender proposals and final contract award and subsequent contract administration through to close-out
• You will evaluate and negotiate commercial and contractual matters, and co-ordinate technical evaluation of the received tenders.
• You will organize and lead tender clarification meetings, tender board meetings, kick-off and commercial meetings

 
Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in either Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Legal, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Over 8 years’ experience in a contracting environment within the construction, engineering, oil & gas industries, preferably gained internationally
• knowledgeable experience in major re-measurable and lump sum EPC(IC) contracts
• excellent command of English, both verbally as well as in writing
• the willingness to travel on short-term overseas business trips, as well as longer-term assignments
• previous experience in Oil & Gas/offshore and/or FPSO would be a significant plus
