To support our procurement activities and optimize our supply chain, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Timisoara.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement and supply chain management for our railway construction projects. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies that align with the company’s goals and project requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and establish strong relationships with key vendors and subcontractors.
- Lead the procurement process, including sourcing, bidding, and contract negotiation, to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to identify procurement needs, specifications, and delivery timelines for materials, equipment, and services.
- Evaluate supplier performance, monitor delivery schedules, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance reviews, contract renewals, and ongoing communication to maintain a reliable and efficient supply chain.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain optimization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards in procurement activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance and legal departments, to ensure alignment and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and analyse procurement reports, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and present findings to management.
- Coach and develop procurement staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar procurement leadership role within the railway construction sector or a related industry.
- Deep knowledge of procurement processes, best practices, and industry trends in the construction sector.
- Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving favorable terms and pricing.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, and contract management.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in procurement, such as public procurement laws.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a procurement team.
