Job Description

 
For one of our clients, a top company specialized in oil and gas, we are looking for a Planning Engineer who will be responsible of following:

• Facilitating Schedule Risk Analysis Workshops, quantitative modelling, and associated float recommendations and critical path analysis to the Final Project Schedule,
• Review, validate and incorporate contractor, subcontractor and third-party engineering, procurement and construction schedules into the PROJECT performance measurement baseline,
• Provide Earned Value and reporting and performance measurements against PROJECT baseline schedule i.e. trends, deviations, delayed construction, procurement and/or engineering deliverable,
• Support in Quantitative and Qualitative Risk Analysis workshops.
• Responsible for coordination of time schedules and progress tracking during investment projects and scheduled refinery turnaround.
• Responsible for provision of professional project planning services to projects and programs in accordance with the companies’ guidelines, procedures and regulations.
• Ensure implementation and compliance to Project Management standard, guidelines and procedures & business directives with respect to project planning and controls;
• Establish project CBS / WBS using companies’ standards;
• Develop, allocates resources and routinely update Project Schedule that covers all phases of a project;
• Establish progress measurement methodology for the project plans;
• Develop and maintain the current schedule forecast;
• Carry out resource planning for the project / programs and update as required;
• Analyses schedule variations and recommend appropriate measures to Project / Program Managers;
• Assist in the development of Project Execution Plan;
• Ensure compliance with Project Execution Plan and Change Management procedure;
• Highlight any deviations to aforesaid procedures;
• Analyses, monitor and comment on contractor’s schedules, resource plans, progress reports and claims and make recommendations;
• Participate in Monthly Project Progress Review meetings;
• Contribute / participate in risk analysis workshops to determine risks and project budget / schedule confidence levels;
• Analyses and identifies the critical path activities and interfaces;
• Support benchmark against historical performance, industry norms and established KPI’s
• Identifies constraints and optimises schedule
• Identifies and estimates the time and resource requirements for the activity or project in line with the proposed work scope, execution strategies and risk mitigation measures;
• Assure proper risk analysis documentation;
• Support Project Manager to manage and monitor project schedule controls, resource requirements and their optimal utilisation;
• Participate in tender evaluations as required.
