Our client is planning to build the world’s largest material-to-material molecular recycling facility in Normandy, France with start-up planned for 2026. This ground-breaking facility will transform waste into valuable raw materials, promoting a circular economy.
For this purpose, we are looking for a Division Representative, who will be the interface between the Division, Engineering and Construction. This person will work with the Project Team members to accomplish full project implementation from initial study work through project start-up and SER closing.
- Project Design and Development
- Establish and maintain focus on Capital Project Objectives
- Identify specialist input requirements to design/spec. reviews
- Participate in design decisions
- Project Financing and Justification
- Assist Division personnel to justify financing
- Collaborate in monitoring and controlling project cash flow and costs
- Project Management and Control
- Help establish a timeline schedule for project completion and cost (Actual vs. Estimates)
- Manage project schedule for Operations and communicate constraints
- Provide dismantlement data for SER package, incl. support documents
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
- Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements are addressed and permit obtained
- Work with Operations to ensure the Safe Work Process is followed, including LOTO required to construct and commission the project
- Ensure training for safety and operating procedures are in place
- Supplier and Vendor Coordination
- Review Equipment/Material RFO’s/Bid Summaries
- Participate in supplier selection
- Communication and Coordination
- Coordinate Division small projects and E-Projects with Capital Coordinator
- Communicate long-range plans on future capital projects to Capital Coordinator
- Provides Division personnel with timely updates on significant engineering, procurement, and construction planning efforts
- Project Risk Management and Analysis
- Work with Project Director / Manager to ensure PrHA (Preliminary Hazard Analysis) and PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) are completed
- Collaborate on preparation of Broad Scope and identifying alternates/risks to the project
- Project Commissioning and Start-up
- Prepare commissioning and start-up plans
- Prepare operating procedures and appropriate staffing plans
- Coordinate activities of operating and maintenance personnel
- Project Documentation and Reporting
- Review Capital Project Memo of Change, as required
- Complete dismantlement and/or transfer papers for all equipment idled as a result of new installations
- Ensure spare parts inventory and maintenance needs are met
- Stakeholder Management
- Remove barriers to success
- Facilitate Best Value Plant Process
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar, with 15+ years of related experience
- Strong presence of 3+ years manufacturing experience producing polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or related polymers with 5-10 years being preferred.
- Strong fundamental experience in PET production processes and coordination of engineering/maintenance tasks
- Capital project experience with leading projects >$50M. Experience being part of a Mega Project of >$1B is a plus.
- Self-motivated and ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work in a timely manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
