Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ROV Senior Pilot Technician to join our offshore workforce. As an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Senior Pilot Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining remotely operated vehicles used in underwater inspections, repairs, and data collection in offshore environments. Your expertise in piloting ROVs and knowledge of technical systems will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of underwater operations.
Job description:
ROV Operation: Pilot and operate ROVs for underwater inspections, surveys, and maintenance tasks in offshore locations.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues related to ROV systems, including thrusters, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and control interfaces.
Inspections and Repairs: Conduct visual inspections of underwater structures and equipment, identify defects, and perform necessary repairs and maintenance activities.
Data Collection: Operate ROV-mounted cameras, sensors, and other specialized equipment to collect and record data during underwater operations. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data collected.
Navigation and Positioning: Utilize navigation and positioning systems to accurately manoeuvre the ROV and maintain position during operations.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Team Coordination: Collaborate with offshore teams, including engineers, project managers, and other technicians, to plan and execute underwater operations effectively.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of ROV operations, maintenance activities, and inspection findings. Prepare reports and documentation as required.
Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior ROV technicians, assisting them in developing their technical skills and operational knowledge.

You are meant for this job if:
Essential:

• A nationally recognised Technician qualification in a relevant technical subject (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Hydraulic). Minimum Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent
• Shall possess current offshore survival and medical certification to UK and Norwegian minimum standards

Preferred:

• Higher National Diploma (HND) (or equivalent) in relevant engineering subject (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Hydraulic)
