Job Description

Identify with minimum assistance incharter & outcharter opportunities for optimization and requirement purposes. Reviews and supports negotiation, the Time Charter Party Agreements with identified customers and manages subsequent Memorandums with minimal supervision to ensure they occur in a timely manner.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Maintain communication with shipping department to ensure compatibility of the vessels for the intended destination when diverted from original.
2. Manage with minimum assistance In/Out-Charter of company vessels, Chemical Tankers, to maximize Shareholders revenue. Formulate Memorandums associated with each In/Out-Charter activity and obtain all necessary Functional Endorsements.
3. Maintain excellent communication with Allocation & Planning to ensure all company LNG vessels are utilized in an optimal fashion.
4. Participate in the Annual Marketing Strategy by providing insights on the Shipping Market.
5. Work closely with shipping department to ensure compatibility of the vessels for the intended destination when diverted from original.
6. Carry out comprehensive cost impact analysis in coordination with Economic Evaluation Department to minimize the shipping costs and provide recommendations to Managers.
7. Establish good communication with Shipowners, Brokers and other participants of LNG Shipping market to maintain full awareness of situation and future trends.
8. Develop and maintain business procedures, controls and guidelines applicable to the department.
9. Participate in LNG Optimization Meetings to identify optimum shipping solutions for new and existing sales.
10. Identify opportunities to utilize company and other JV controlled shipping for Short Term marketing.

Internal Relationships

• Works directly with teams within Short Term Marketing & Optimization, Allocation and Planning, Shipping, Sales Contracts and Economic Evaluation & Business Excellence.

External Relationships

• • Regular contact with Shareholders.
  • Regular contact with Customers, Ship Owners and Brokers. Periodic contact with shipyards, ship owner/operators and various other contractors.

Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent.

Knowledge and/or Experience

• 5 years professional experience in commercial and shipping or marketing role in the hydrocarbon industry.
• In-depth understanding of global LNG shipping market & LNG value chain.

Technical and Business Skills

• Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to develop and present formal presentations to internal, external and senior management audiences.
• High levels of computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Competent in Economic Modelling, Gas and LNG Supply / Demand Fundamentals and Developing Speeches and Presentations.
