Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operator E&I (Electrical and Instrumentation) Technician for offshore operations based out of Den Helder. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems in our offshore facilities. This position requires a highly technical skill set, along with the ability to work under challenging conditions and maintain safety and operational excellence at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Operate and maintain DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), with a specific focus on energy generation from diesel motors and turbines.
• Execute electric switching operations, read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and maintain ESD (Emergency Shutdown) systems.
• Monitor and maintain fire and gas detection systems to ensure the safety and security of offshore operations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, and participate in safety drills and training as required.

Required Competences

• Degree or certification in Petroleum, Gas, and Maintenance Technology, or Process Operator B (Vapro).
• Proven experience as an operator in the petrochemical industry.
• Several years of experience as SWTK (Senior Wellhead Tower Keeper) or MAROF (Maritime Officer).
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with DCS and PLCs, particularly in the context of energy generation from diesel motors and turbines.
• Proficiency in electric switching, reading P&IDs, ESD systems, and fire and gas detection systems.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English is mandatory to ensure effective communication within our diverse team and with international partners.
