Offshore Pipeline Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi

RESPONSIBILITIES

He/ she will report operationally to the Pipeline Lead Engineer and functionally to the Pipeline Discipline Head with regards to his main tasks listed hereunder:

1. Should be effective communicator in both writing and verbal communication.

2. Co-ordination with squad team leaders, specialist or vendors.

3. Ensure the pipeline deliverables are prepared and checked to meet industrial standards and project requirements.

4. Provide pipeline inputs to proposals and projects as well as close out reports.

5. Participate in developing and ensuring engineering specifications and standards in all phases of the project.

6. Provide technical assistance to Pipeline Discipline Head as and when required. Perform design activities assigned by lead engineer in accordance with standard engineering practices and specific project requirements.

7. Should perform assigned tasks with little or no supervision, under pressure, pro-active and co-operative.

8. Should ensure that design activities are completed with allotted man hours and documents deadline are met.

9. Ensure that all prepared deliverables are properly checked for accuracy and completeness in line with respective checklist prior to passing to lead engineer for final technical scrutiny.

10. Check prints of the deliverables are properly documented and available for quality audits.

11. Assistance and design inputs to lead engineer in project review meeting, vendor meeting etc.

12. Provide design inputs to drafting team and check design parameters in the drawing.

13. Should be effective communicator in both writing and verbal communication.

14. Coordination with project team members, specialist or vendors as and when instructed by lead engineer or Head of Discipline.

15. Provide all technical inputs requested by vendor, raising TQ, TBT and review of vendor documents/drawings.

REQUIREMENTS

· The candidate must have a degree in Civil/Structural /Mechanical/Marine/Offshore engineering with extensive experience in offshore pipeline projects.

· The candidate should have a minimum 10 years of experience and out of this minimum 5 years of experience in onshore and/ offshore pipeline projects. The candidate with post graduate qualification and or membership professional bodies will have added advantage.

· The candidate must have sufficient experience in managing/guiding a team of engineers and designers. The candidate must have familiarity with the pipeline design codes and standards such as DNV, API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, NACE, Shell DEP, AGES, ADNOC ONSHORE, ADNOC OFFSHORE standards etc.

· Candidate must have past experience with working in different phases of project e.g. Concept, FEED and EPC.

· Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills along with knowledge of presentation tools e.g. MS PowerPoint.

· Candidate should have experience in using pipeline software’s like, CAESAR, DNV, Orcaflex, Sage Profile, MathCAD etc. ABAQUS experience is added advantage.
