Job Summary

Assist the Head of section (Head of Instrumentation, Metering & Systems Support) with the maintenance mainly based onshore within the ICSS/Instrument/Metering support team, but the job will involve intervention in FPSOs and all DW Smart Room industrial system domains.

Main Responsibilities

• Assists Head with drafting, drawings issuance, studies performance, spare parts identification reviews, tools reviews, documentation filing, binding, or data capture in computerized systems.
• Responsible for the Technical content of the maintenance methods in the field of Instrumentation and Package systems, (this could include Metering and ICSS, if acting during the absence of Head (Instrumentation, Metering & Systems Support), including the responsibility for maintenance plans, spare parts coverage, working techniques, and the procedures.
• Supports the FPSO site teams as requested in areas of own specialty, including drafting working procedures, maintenance programs, and guides to effectively operate specific installations and equipment such as all standard instrumentation as well as (but not limited to) Meteo systems, HIPPS, F&G systems, etc. and providing associated logistic support.
• Provides technical assistance of whatever nature to site operational staff, based on the operational requirements.
• Follows up on the technical problems raised, follows up on the technical and contractual files, as instructed, follows up on the warranty claims, and the implementation of the corrective actions.
• Performs equipment performance analysis; develops and puts in place enhanced condition monitoring programs. Champions CBM attitude, developing monitoring dashboards to monitor/improve performance, and leading, developing, and supporting CBM initiatives for instrument equipment or in Instrument discipline are also important as part of our future drive
• Follows up on the day-to-day activities of the offshore teams; remains available to provide them the assistance and support as needed.
• Pays regular visits to the offshore site and participates in the jobs as required; may be involved in operational works including major shutdowns. May be incorporated into maintenance working shifts as the case may be, as required during major operations.
• Monitors the CMMS (SAP/Unisup), the registration of the works, the consumed materials, the services, and so on.
• Assists the Head of the section in the elaboration of the annual budget and the follow-up of expense
• Assists in the mobilization and coordination of external resources (vendors, contractors, means, and equipment) to support the offshore staff ensuring equipment integrity
• Provides technical assistance at the site, or in contractor workshops for maintenance intervention preparation (including major shutdown or overhaul works), maintenance works follow-up, works supervision, material receipt, or specific investigations, studies, equipment condition monitoring, etc.
• Liaises, or ensures the liaison with the Authorities (DPR) in compliance with regulations
• Acts as head of the discipline on occasion in his absence.
• Coordinates these actions with concerned staff, from both offshore and onshore sites.

 
Educational Qualifications
University Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or its equivalent
Proven knowledge of various Instruments and Controls technologies and F&G systems used in oil & Gas Installations
Experience: 5 – 7 years in Oil and Gas and a Minimum 2 years in a supervisory operational position
