We are proud to announce that WTS Energy Mexico has been officially recognized as a Socially Responsible Company (ESR) by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi). This distinction reflects our commitment to making a positive impact through ethical practices, social responsibility, and a people-first approach.
What is the ESR Distinction?
The ESR (Empresa Socialmente Responsable) distinction is an annual recognition awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi) and AliaRSE to companies that voluntarily demonstrate their commitment to socially responsible management.
The ESR is based on a documented evaluation process, where companies complete a structured questionnaire assessing their practices in four key areas:
- Business ethics and governance: including internal policies, codes of conduct, anti-corruption measures, and non-discrimination practices.
- Quality of life within the company: covering fair labor conditions, employee health and safety, and professional development opportunities.
- Community engagement: participation in social projects, volunteering programs, and corporate social investment.
- Environmental care and preservation: implementing practices to reduce environmental impact, promote sustainability, and use resources efficiently.
Since 2023, the ESR evaluation has been aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It now also includes criteria that address governance and global impact. The distinction highlights organizations that integrate ethical practices, sustainability, and social responsibility into their business culture and strategy.
