WTS Energy is seeking to hire Operations Superintendent to work for one of our client who is a reputed operator.
safe and effective operations of all production processes, utility systems, plant and equipment, and associated pipelines to achieve and exceed agreed production targets, ensuring compliance with Field case study for safety, standard operating procedures, HSE policies, and corporate governance.
Maintain & improve the Safety, Health and Welfare for all personnel within the assigned Offshore Complex and remote wellhead platforms by:
a. The establishment and maintenance of a safe working environment and the enforcement of safe and effective working practices.
b. Development, communication and maintenance of a strong health, safety and environmental awareness culture throughout all levels of the offshore workforce.
c. Ensure all necessary safety systems and equipment is available and fit for purpose at all times.
Implement a process of loss prevention and control to meet company business needs and targets.
Implement a program of inspections and audits to ensure all company and statutory safety standards are being met.
Authorize Hot work Permits & confined space/vessel entry work and ensure safety critical duties and tasks are undertaken only by competent personnel.
Conduct safety drills and musters and ensure all installation personnel are familiar with and understand their relevant safety equipment and procedures.
Manage the Safety Committee and provide all necessary support to elected representatives in carrying out their duties.
Conduct and/or assist in accident and/or incident investigations in accordance with company and statutory procedures, making appropriate recommendations for action, implementing accepted and approved recommendations and monitoring effect of change(s); complete and forward relevant reports in a timely manner. Co-ordinate all relevant activities to ensure a safe, efficient and effective shutdown or start-up of the installation, systems, &/or equipment.
Investigate and determine the cause(s) of unplanned shutdowns and establish the possibility and means of preventing recurrence.
Ensure requests for additional resources are justified on an added value or operationally necessary basis.
Ensure that all offshore complex reporting functions are executed in an accurate, thorough and timely manner.
Identify and recommend offshore facilities improvement opportunities.
Mentoring, developing succession plans
Ø Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering preferred
Ø 15 oil and gas field production experience with 5+ years in supervisory/management role
Ø Thorough knowledge and experience with Operations safety and statutory requirements and safe systems of work such as PTW, isolation procedures etc…
