Logitics Engineer Job Description
− Specific planning, awarding of contracts to subcontractors and coordination of Over-dimensional
cargo and heavy cargo removals across all types of transport and transshipment
− Carrying out tailor-made route, port and location checks taking into account freight details, means
of transport, infrastructure as well as local and international legislation
− Elaboration of transport solutions and serial interpretation of the entire process with the help of
AutoCAD
− Approval and evaluation of procedural instructions
− Subject-specific technical and economic support of the project management
− Interface management between installation team and transport subcontractors
− Evaluation and approval of documents provided by subcontractors
− Support of the other project disciplines using a strong network of contacts and interfaces
The activities described here are not exhaustive and the job holder may be asked by superiors
to take on other tasks appropriate to the position.
− Completed studies in business administration or engineering with a focus on logistics as well as
many years of professional experience and already acquired market knowledge
− Strong CAD knowledge
− German and English skills: C1 or higher
− Flexible and forward-looking action, economic understanding
− Customer-oriented appearance with good communication and team skills
− Stress resistance, conflict capacity
− Negotiation skills as well as perseverance and assertiveness
