Junior Legal Counsel

 

About The Role

 

For an important international Oil & Gas company we are currently looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to work out in Mexico City. If you’re passionate and deeply curious about finding solutions to new challenges, you could be the perfect fit for this role.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

 

At least 6 months of working experience in governmental entities related to the Oil & Gas industry.

Ideally a graduate or in the process of obtaining a degree for less than 6 months.

Experience working with commercial and Government operations.

Ability to work independently.

 

 

What you will do:

 

Focal point for arriving documents to the functions within the organization.

Assistance in the corporate follow-up of Mexican entities.

Responsible for daily routine task such as photocopying, scanning, filing, distributing and archiving on server or any other platform required.

Responsible for the continuous update of physical documentation, including tenders’ files and ensure compliance with administrative filing procedures.

Assist Legal Manager on the negotiation and settlement of contractual disputes.

Support the procurement activity in the drafting and development of the wellsite subcontracts under the supervision of the Legal Manager.

Assistance in drafting shareholders' meetings, powers of attorney and other notarial matters.

Assistance in civil, commercial, and administrative contracts with suppliers and agents.

Follow-up of existing contracts, leases, and interim and consulting services.

Assistance in the negotiation of contracts with individuals during the bidding phase.

Assistance in the review of bids and drafting of public contracts.

Assistance in the drafting of bonds.

Legal follow-up of projects: drafting letters, constant communication with internal clients and operational staff.

Reviewing and drafting legal/regulatory documentation and commercial contracts.

Follow-up of environmental litigation and management with external lawyers.

Travel availability.
