Ideal Profile: Technical On-Ground Expert – Value Assurance for Smart Gas Grid Management  

Professional Summary: A seasoned technical expert with a strong foundation in engineering and extensive hands-on experience in implementing and overseeing smart gas grid management systems. Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale infrastructure and digital transformation projects within the utilities sector, particularly in gas distribution networks. Skilled in bridging technical execution with business outcomes through value assurance practices, project governance, and client representation.  

Core Competencies & Expertise: Smart Gas Grid Technology:
• In-depth understanding of SCADA, GIS, IoT-based sensor networks, AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), and telemetry systems.
• Experience with integration of legacy gas infrastructure into smart grid systems.  

Deployment Experience:
• Proven track record in executing smart gas grid or similar utility infrastructure projects from design to commissioning.
• Familiar with standards and regulatory frameworks relevant to gas distribution and safety.  

Project Management:
• Experience in managing multi-stakeholder programs with technical, financial, and timeline accountability.
• Strong grasp of agile and waterfall methodologies as applicable to infrastructure and IT/OT convergence.  

Value Assurance & Governance:
• Hands-on involvement in value assurance programs or quality assurance/quality control roles.
• Skilled in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), risk mitigation, cost optimization, and milestone validation.  

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
• Acts as the technical face of the program for client leadership.
• Experience presenting to and negotiating with government bodies, public sector undertakings, or regulated utilities.  

Geographic Experience:
• Prior experience in projects across CIS or similar geographies with complex stakeholder ecosystems.
• Acquainted with working in multicultural, high-regulation environments.  

Preferred Experience: − 10–15 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in smart grid or gas utility digitization. − Participation in at least two end-to-end smart utility infrastructure deployments, ideally with one in a government or PPP-led environment. − Experience working with international consulting or engineering firms as part of a cross-functional team.
