Job Description

Job Title: Site IST Support

Location: Port – Harcourt

CLIENT SUMMARY
The client is a global integrated energy company that produces and markets energies.

 
JOB PURPOSE
The job scope include:

  • Provision of end user support in Laptop, Desktop, Mobile Device and shall include the computer systems setup, installation of PCs, configuration, deployment, and support of PCs including associated peripherals (monitors, printers, scanners, and projectors) and mobile devices and smartphones (iPhones, Androids, etc.).
  • To oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the company’s IT systems, security and infrastructure Onsite. This includes tasks such as troubleshooting technical issues, managing IT resources, implementing IT policies and procedures, and ensuring the availability, reliability of IT services and information security to meet business needs.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, providing technical support to end users, implementing IT policies and procedures, and managing IT projects.
  • To provide administrative support to all IT systems, networks, hardware and applications in the locations of the assigned company location and to escalate all critical issues immediately to the attention of the Project IT coordinator and liaise with The company’s SHARED service team in resolving users’ problem.

 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide support to Project Management on all matters related to Information System and Telecommunication on related Projects.

  • Provide 1st & 2nd Level support – which includes service desk ticketing, managing Day to day Windows OS and Software installation
  • Provide Support for all computer equipment, printers and other peripherals
  • Make sure the project/ The company’s information security is maintained accordingly on daily basis.
  • Ensure users IT related problem are resolved within the shortest line in line with the company set SLA (Service level agreement)
  • Interface with other IST teams (Telecoms, Windows Admin. etc.) to quickly resolve IT related issues
  • Escalate/ report unsolved IT issues onsite to relevant IT team
  • Coordination of web site materials/information and forwarding to the Project IT coordinator
  • Acts as systems/network administrator onsite
  • Ensure reliable and accurate inventory of all user support equipment for audit and planning purposes.
  • Daily report of all IT activities onsite.
  • Ensure that the meeting room IT equipment are ready for use at all the times
  • Ensure that The company’s IST charter/ Policies are followed when carrying out daily activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Designee nominated is accountable to:

  • Organize his job in full respect and within the limit of defined and approved planning & budgets.
  • Have good relationships with other Departments / Packages of the Division.
  • Have good relationships with other THE COMPANY’S entities such as Strategy and Planning Division, Production Division, Drilling and Completion Division, Engineering, Project and Modifications Division.
  • Ensure a transversal way of working, in a good team spirit.

HSE OBJECTIVE

  • Familiarize self with THE COMPANY’S emergency procedures, carry out assigned responsibilities safely and report any incident, unsafe act, or operation
  • Ensure all personnel under his/her supervision are well trained and aware of their HSE responsibilities with continuous monitoring.
  • To fully comply with office security, health, and safety instructions.
  • To stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings.
  • To report to Management on any issue they may face or observe and propose ways of improvement.
  • To take care of colleagues’ safety and behaviour without hesitating to intervene as much as necessary.
  • To give his/her own input and make sure the workplace is safe (clean and tidy)
  • When in doubt, ask questions to gain clarification.
  • To participate actively in anomaly reporting
  • Carry out assigned duties safely so as to adhere to the COMPANY’s safety procedures and minimize/eliminate unsafe exposure to self or other personnel.
  • Familiarize self with COMPANY’s emergency procedures and report any incident, unsafe act or operation.
  • To fully comply with Security rules about Travelling in Nigeria

 
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Technical

  • Information system and Telecommunication
  • Computer – Setting-up/Configuration/Troubleshooting
  • Network management/LAN/WAN
  • MS office, Win 11 Knowledge

 
Others

  • Knowledge of Company rules/procedures
  • Knowledge of International standard and norms
  • Project Management
  • Team management / relationship
  • Writing (for reporting purposes)

 
Required Qualification and Background

  • Professional Experience (years): 5-10
  • Experience in similar position (years): 5 Level / Diploma: Technician, or equivalent with sound knowledge in information system and Telecommunication
  • Languages: English mandatory
