Senior Reservoir Engineer
Mexico City | Offshore Project

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join the subsurface team in a strategic offshore project in Mexico. This position will be responsible for dynamic reservoir characterization, as well as the validation and optimization of the Field Development Plan (FDP) through the use of advanced simulation and analytical methods.

Main Responsibilities

• Design the dynamic data acquisition plan for development wells
• Monitor, validate, and ensure the quality of data acquired during drilling operations
• Develop and update dynamic reservoir simulation models
• Generate production profiles for different development scenarios (FDP)
• Evaluate and optimize recovery strategies, including waterflood injection
• Support business planning, resource management, and internal/external approval processes
• Participate in technical committees with partners (TCMs)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
• More than 15 years of experience in Reservoir Engineering
• Proven experience in offshore greenfield projects
• Strong experience in complex reservoir characterization (turbidites)
• Experience in Field Development Planning (FDP)
• Proficiency in dynamic simulation, especially IMEX
• Experience in design and optimization of waterflood injection
• Desirable experience with miscible gas injection

• Advanced English
• Intermediate Spanish
