Job Description

Job Summary:
Our Client is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Lead to oversee and enhance quality management systems within its operational workshop environment. This role is integral to a company operating in the industrial manufacturing and maintenance sector, focusing on delivering high-quality products and services. The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Lead will be responsible for developing and approving quality control plans, work instructions, and procedures, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and driving operational efficiency. The position involves leading a team, conducting root cause analysis, managing documentation, and liaising with clients and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and safety standards. Candidates can expect to engage in continuous process improvement, team development, and strategic quality risk management, contributing directly to the company’s productivity and customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, approve, and maintain Quality Control Plans, Work Instructions, Procedures, and the overall Quality Management System to ensure compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
• Lead and supervise the quality assurance and control team, providing both theoretical and practical training to enhance skills and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Streamline and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce idle and changeover times, and maximize productivity in alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
• Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues, implement corrective actions, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to maintain smooth operations.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies, ISO standards, HSE procedures, and all relevant laws and regulations, promoting a culture of safety and quality within the workshop.
• Manage documentation control, including cataloguing, updating, and sharing technical specifications, procedures, and standards to support operational excellence.
• Oversee the selection and evaluation of personnel and third-party services to guarantee technical reliability and quality performance, leading critical quality-related negotiations.
• Foster a customer-focused culture by maintaining strong communication with internal and external clients, ensuring timely and quality delivery of projects and services.
• Motivate, coach, and develop team members, managing HR activities in accordance with company norms to build a skilled and succession-ready workforce.
• Organize and lead regular quality meetings and reviews to monitor quality performance, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and achieve budgetary and safety targets including zero lost time incidents.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within relevant industrial or manufacturing processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS), with the ability to support Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance.
• Proven leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and supervise a technical team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to perform under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience in developing, revising, and approving Quality Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Procedures.
• Proficient in conducting root cause analysis, quality risk assessments, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with internal teams, external vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in managing Quality Management Systems in a workshop or production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement quality culture initiatives and conduct quality management review meetings.
• Familiarity with managing quality costs and budgets to optimize resource utilization and maximize profitability.
• Experience in coordinating with third-party accreditation bodies and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
