Job Title: Operations Lead

Location: Barsa, Iraq

Rotation: 28 days on/28 days off

Objectives/ Purpose of the role:

To ensure smooth operation of the units and equipment systems. He shall be responsible for recording daily checks as per recommendation in the supplier manual / technical documents.
He should coordinate with site supervisor for the completion of correct daily activities /documents. He should also ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained and recommendations are made to site supervisor in case of any spare part or material is required for safe operation of equipment. Candidate must have Gas Compression Plant experience ideally (or power generation plant).

Job Scope:

• Maintain and provide the maximum plant availability.
• Daily inspection of plant equipment & accessories as per the defined checklist /procedure by site supervisor.
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly updates with shutdown summary to the site supervisor.
• Toolbox talk (TBT) meeting should be followed by Site Supervisor before executing any routine or repair work on site.
• Comply with QA / HSE policies, procedures and rules, including site specific.
• Perform Risk assessment for preventive maintenance for any hazards during the work.
• Follow start /stop procedure of all equipment as per OEM recommendation & guidelines.
• Able to write a shift report, describing & maintaining all the activities being perform in each shift.
• Identify & address abnormal parameters or events to the site supervisor & coordinate to fix the issues with team effort.
• Actively participate in troubleshooting, repair and any activity which is required to resolve the site issue.
• Maintain and record site inventory consumption and provide all details to the supervisor.
• Liaise with the Site Supervisor to provide site updates.

Key Working Relationships:

• Internal: Service Manager, Operation Manager, Workshop Supervisor, Site Operator
• External: Customers and Project Representatives

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills / Knowledge:

• 5 years of relevant working experience in Operation & Maintenance role in Gas compression or power generation industry
• Highly skilled in report writing and use of all other MS Software (Word, Excel)
• Extensive Technical Knowledge of Gas Engines and compression Operation & Services
• Experienced on Ariel Compressors and Waukesha engines- Desirable
• Knowledge of International Standards and Certification- Desirable
• Certification from Waukesha and/or Ariel Compressors- Desirable
