Designation: Operations Engineer – Guyana
Reporting To: Regional Manager / Project Manager
 
To support and execute project operations in Guyana by ensuring engineering and operational activities are delivered in compliance with applicable client specifications, statutory requirements, international standards, and internal company policies and procedures.

The role is responsible for supporting project execution, coordination, and site-based engineering activities to achieve safe, timely, and high‑quality project delivery.
 
Job Responsibilities:
The Operations Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Support the execution of engineering and operational activities in line with project scope, specifications, class requirements, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, QHSE, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and assist in preparing engineering deliverables including drawings, calculations, material take‑offs, method statements, ITPs, and technical submissions as applicable.
• Provide technical and operational support during fabrication, installation, outfitting, HVAC, E&I, and accommodation‑related works within the company’s core business areas.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Assist in planning and tracking project schedules, preparing progress reports, and identifying risks or deviations.
• Liaise with clients, shipyards, vendors, and third‑party inspectors to support inspections, approvals, and resolution of technical issues.
• Ensure effective implementation of HSE requirements, risk assessments, and toolbox talks in line with internal and local regulations.
• Support commissioning, testing, handover, and project closeout documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned from executed projects.
• Perform any other duties reasonably required to meet project and business needs within the job holder’s competence.

Key Qualifications & experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Marine, or relevant discipline).
• Proven experience in project operations or site engineering within offshore, marine, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
• Good understanding of international standards, client specifications, and HSE requirements.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site and to travel or relocate within Guyana as required.
