Job Description

JOB SUMMARY 

• The assistant Mooring Master will exhibit high standard marine skills and safety behaviors and will assist the Mooring Master in all relevant mooring operations, associated marine and custody transfers activities in order to be sure that they are performed safety and in accordance with terminal regulations and Company procedures.
• Area of responsibility covers export tankers mooring and unmooring operation at the offshore terminal, connection and disconnection of the export hose and duties assigned on board FPSO by Mooring Master.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

On board of export tanker  

• Assist Mooring Master with tanker inspection on arrival for safety, security, and environmental related matters.
• Participates in the pre-operational safety meeting on board of the export tankers.
• Promote safety awareness and application of the Safety Management System, codes of practice and policies.
• Support the operation of berthing, mooring, unmooring, maintaining export tanker position and relevant marine activities.
• In charge with offload hose connection, disconnection, and all relevant associated marine activities.
• Supervise the Marine & Cargo Operations with respect to export tankers.
• Advise export tanker crew as so instructed by the Mooring Master.
• Provide constant monitor and alertness during the duration of the export operation.
• Timely Report to the Mooring Master any anomalies during export operations related to ballast discharge,
• Offloading hose, manifold, tandem hawser and chain stopper, pull back tug and towing lines.

    On board of FPSO

• The management may assign additional tasks not listed in Job Description.
• Provide assistance for the readiness and overall maintenance of the offload floating hose system and tandem
• hawser system.
• Provide support for training relevant personnel in tandem offloading operations when required to do so.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Holder of a valid IMO STCW 95 deck officer class A-II/2 certificate, unlimited.
• Holder of a valid specialized program on the (BRM) bridge resources management.
• Holder of a valid specialized program on the duties to fulfil on tankers (oil STCW V/1-1-3).
• Holder of a valid medical fitness certificate in accordance with IMO STCW 95 convention.
• Have a minimum experience of thirty (30) months on board of seagoing AFRAMAX tankers or larger, with at least
• 1 year in rank as Chief Officer.
• Fluent in English language and Standard Marine phraseology.
