Job description Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager will be in involved in roles and responsibilities mentioned below.

  • Manage procurement processes and activities to support proposals, projects, aftermarket, and departmental requirements.
  • Manage procurement processes and initiatives to support local operations including, but not limited to proposals, projects, capital equipment, logistics/freight, consumables, temporary labor, travel, and others under the direction of the General Manager.
  • Promote and maintain the highest ethical standards in relationship with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Identify and rationalize savings opportunities and processes, then communicate and correlate those initiatives with the strategies of our corporate driven supply chain.
  • Review incoming work orders and/or requisitions for specification completeness; locate suitable sources and obtains quotations. Review supplier quotes, assuring accuracy and full compliance/completeness. Make substitution recommendations for cost savings.
  • Prepare bid tabulations and select or recommend suppliers based on evaluations within authorized limitations.
  • Assure purchase orders, purchasing agreements, and contracts issued are complete, accurate and fully documented in compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Investigate supplier problems arising from quality, performance, invoicing, etc. and recommend course of action including settlement of claims and back charges. Provide technical guidance for requisitions.
  • Remain aware of new product development, problems and market conditions through contacts with vendors, trade organizations, and periodicals.
  • Maintain effective communications with engineering, sales, project management, general manager, suppliers, and staff.
  • Maintain files to provide information to engineering and other departments on prices, sources, specifications, data, etc.
  • Manage transportation for purchased and fabricated items required for company projects. Coordinate shipments between vendors, subcontractors, and Customer, as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Requirements Procurement Manager

  • Diploma/Degree with 8 - 10 years supply chain procurement, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of strategic procurement practices and principles, including supplier development and spend analysis.
  • Knowledge of service contracts and negotiation principles.
  • Strong computer skills within Microsoft business suite of programs and SAP.
