Job description Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment)
The responsibilities of Mechanical Engineer will include but not limited to the following,
- Provides plant engineering support to Maintenance and Plant Operations for rotating equipment including troubleshooting, design process and reliability improvements and Management of Change. High involvement with Plant rotating equipment performance and standards.
- Promotes activities that improve equipment reliability and integrity.
- Active participant with rotating equipment inspection and reliability programs.
- Recommends equipment shutdown cycles to maintain integrity as well as meet regulatory requirements.
- Keeps abreast of changes in Industry practices and Codes. Works with Corporate technology organizations in areas of machinery performance and reliability.
- Modifications and Design – Active participant and reviewer of all MOC alterations involving rotating equipment or reliability considerations.
- Designs, specifies modifications and repairs to rotating equipment and facilities.
- Works with Regulatory Agencies to approve and/or adopt alternate inspection and monitoring techniques/requirements.
Requirements Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment)
- Mechanical Engineer will have a degree in Engineering(mechanical).
- Should have minimum 3 – 5 years industry experience.
- Experience with pumps, compressors, expanders, generators, steam turbines and other rotating equipment a plus.
- Experience with Bentley Nevada S1 and Emerson CSI Vibration Analysis Systems is a strong plus.
- Looking for individuals with proven ability to learn technical and complex applications then apply. Will receive training in above systems where there is a shortfall. Looking to have individual obtain certification as ANST Level 1 Vibration Analyst or have equivalent knowledge and experience within 15 months.
- Must have good safety record.
