Production Operator

For one of our clients, Hunt Oil Company of Romania, we are looking for a Production Operator.

OVERVIEW
The Production Operator reports to the Operations Manager and assists with coordinating all producing and operating activities associated with the company’s upstream facility sites.
 
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as Company’s on-site representative during all production operations such as:
    • Ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
    • Witness all sales activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Ensure produced water is safely disposed of.
    • Supervise third party contract operators.
  • Participate in the planning of and supervise any maintenance works, whether planned or unplanned, that are conducted on the company’s upstream facilities.
  • Participate in preparing plant operating procedures and implementing them on a daily basis.
  • Participate in any site construction operations, by assisting the Company’s Project Manager to ensure HSE guidelines are adhered to, build conforms to plan, and schedule is maintained.
  • Participate in any commissioning activities at plant start up to trouble shoot potential problems, encourage a timely start up, and document lessons learned that will be applicable for future operating procedures.

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering, in a discipline related to the upstream oil industry.
  • Five years experience in Oilfield Production Operations.
  • Familiarity with Oil and Gas industry standards related to Health, Safety, and the environment.
  • Familiarity with Integrity Management Systems.
  • Awareness of Romanian laws as they apply to operating an upstream oil & gas facility.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, fluency in Romanian and English.
  • Strong planning/organizational skills, meeting targets on time, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills – proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Data analysis and problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Ability to prepare concise, accurate and up-to-date reports.
