Aftermarket Parts Director

POSITION SUMMARY:
Lead, and profitably grow, the aftermarket product line for Company Americas, as well as other global regions for U.S. branded company products .  Accountable for the lifecycle pump maintenance value proposition, including replacement parts and warranties.  Reports directly to the Vice President of Service, Americas.
 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure Company’ aftermarket product line maintains strong value proposition with both channel partners (i.e., distributors) and end-users
  2. Drive aftermarket product positioning and business strategy in order to grow Company market share
  3. Evaluate product line profitability by SKU and recommend necessary changes/adjustments to product pricing and overall product portfolio makeup
  4. Drive aftermarket sales growth by ensuring aligned interest with Company’ channel partners and urgently alleviating issues causing channel conflict
  5. Regularly forecast demand for all products within the aftermarket family
  6. Maintain state-of-the-art aftermarket sales mechanisms and diagnostic processes for use with the end-customers
  7. Manage acquisition of key customer insights through primary and secondary research approaches
  8. Lead development of aftermarket-specific marketing and customer development material (print and web-based)
  9. Develop detailed understanding of competitive landscape in key aftermarket product categories
  10. Coordinate with Supply Chain organization to monitor key supplier service level agreements and resulting customer satisfaction levels
  11. Directly manage and develop parts managers assigned to help Director of Market Development deliver on key responsibilities

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of industrial aftermarket product management experience required
  • Demonstrated success in growing product line sales and profitability
  • Experience managing commercial activity associated with various sales channels (e.g., dealers, distributors, etc.) required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required; must be able to engage and communicate effectively with senior leaders
  • Strong financial evaluation and analytical capabilities required
  • Strong grasp of MS Office suite required
  • Comfort working in matrix organization and influencing at all levels of the organization a must
  • Experience with global business expansion and international product portfolios a plus.
