Currently we are looking for a Project Foreman / Team Leader in the Netherlands for one of our clients. The client is an independent service provider for current and future losses of pipelines and installations in the Oil & Gas Industry. Based on extensive measurements, they can advise how to reduce emissions and energy losses and how to maintain the integrity of its pipeline network. They are focussed on the European and Middle East market.
 
Job description
The Project Foreman is working permanently on the site of their customer and he is managing a team of technical operators. This can be around 10 employees.
He is planning and coordinating all activities at the customer’s site. This includes the allocation and the planning of the measurements. He is monitoring the quality and safety of the work, organizing training and coaching for the employees and collecting and delivering the measurement data for reporting.
The Project Foreman is a helping hand in carrying out the measurements on site. He liaises closely with the client and is presenting his findings on a regular basis.
 
Activities
  • Ensure the project is realized within the agreed timeframe, budget and specifications;
  • Preparing solutions and equipment to collect samples;
  • Coordination of the field work and equipment logistics;
  • Assembling, maintenance and calibration of testing equipment;
  • Implement and verify the performance of new equipment;
  • Sample and data collection at facility emission points that include tall stacks and exposure to environmental elements including heat, wind, sun and noise;
  • Troubleshooting in case of technical problems or incidents;
  • The delivery of the measurement data for reporting;
  • Support the data analysis, interpretation and reporting;
  • Ensure the necessary productivity of the team;
  • Running of close consultation with all stakeholders;
  • Ensure that the measurement operations on site are executed in a safe manner; safety measurements are strictly complied with the necessary safety equipment is made available and used, and the client’s procedures are respected;
  • Assisting of the operators in their daily performance; knowledge and experience is helping to overcome difficult situations;
  • Managing of the relationship with the customer actively;
  • Responsible for the quality control of the project.
 
Requirements
  • CP1 certificate;
  • Technical background and technical education;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering is a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry and Oil & Gas Pipelines is a must;
  • Preferable solid experience on site Stack or LDAR measurements;
  • Flexible; it requires weekends and working days frequently in excess of 8 hours. Temporary or living abroad is also one of the options;
  • Physically in a good condition; you must be able to lift and carry loads, climb ladders and be comfortable to work outdoor and at heights;
  • Good computer knowledge;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Team Leader;
  • Driving License;
  • Living in the Netherlands is a must;
  • Excellent English and/or Dutch speaker (knowledge of Arabic, Spanish or German is a plus).
