Job Summary:
 
Support the Corporate Project Team to execute design engineering, procurement,
construction, commissioning and handover of new development projects related to
client’s Kurdistan license areas.
 
Support the site Production Team in defining and scoping proposed engineering
design changes to the production facilities.
 
Supervise, and/or interface with various engaged construction contracting companies and provide coordination with internal stakeholders.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Provide the primary interface between the site Production Team and the Dubai
based Projects Engineering Team.
 
  • Raise internal technical documentation to support plant design changes requested by the Production Team;
  • Coordinates with project engineering team representatives for the particular project to address technical queries, Field Design Changes, Scope of Work revisions.
  • Steward construction contractor’s activities with respect to project execution ensuring the contractor:
  • Is familiar with execution plans and overall job requirements
  • Staffs the project with adequate numbers of qualified personnel;
  • Adheres to all agreed specifications and standards;
  • Provides all contract documents, particularly those referred to in the scope of work; Controls the work, i.e. accurate and timely progress measurement and reporting.
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZAN, HAZOP, SIL & QRA studies.
  • Produce professional project status reports.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure necessary information flow between stakeholders to meet project milestones
  • Support effective handover and closure of project contracts.
 
 

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:
 
  • Convincing academic background within one or more engineering discipline(s) of which process/mechanical/Instrumentation should be core.
  • >10 years of experience from large capital expenditure (capex) projects, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
  • Have a wide range of technical skills and experience and a practical knowledge of the major engineering disciplines.
  • Hands on experience with construction and commissioning.
  • Experience developing technically acceptable, constructible and operable cost effective solutions to complex problems.
  • Familiar with commonly used project management concepts and tools, used to contribute project control information.
