From its incorporation at the turn of the century to today, WTS Energy has continuously grown to become a global provider of motivated, ambitious technical professionals to national and international Oil and Gas, Energy and Engineering companies. In a dynamic market, we continue to develop solutions to meet our customers evolving manpower needs. Many more markets are yet to be won, and are ready to take on the challenge. JW Scholten founds www.worldwideworker.com, a job board for the global Energy industry marketing job postings and CV search accounts.


Opening office in Houston, USA


www.oilcareerfair.com is launched in cooperation with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (www.spe.org). It organized Recruitment Events and Job Fairs at Global Oil and Gas events and provided consultancy services in Human Resource management.


Opening first office in the Middle East in Dubai, UAE, later followed by a second office in Abu Dhabi and a rep office in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia


Addition of Recruitment and Manpower supply services company offerings


Opening first West-African office, in Lagos, Nigeria, followed by establishing a representation in Libreville, Gabon


Frederik Rengers becomes CEO of Worldwideworker


Period of expansion rapid expansion in the Middle East
- Opening joint venture office in Amman, Jordan.
- Establishing representative offices in South Iraq (Basra) and North Iraq (Erbil) and Sanaa, Yemen.


Worldwideworker Online Services is sold to Dice Holdings (NYS: DHX).


Launch of WTS Energy with a focus on Global Recruitment Campaigns, Manpower Supply/Technical Assistance and Payroll Outsourcing Services to the Global Energy industry


Period of business growth and company expansion focused on Recruitment Campaigns and the delivery of Local, Asian and Western Engineers to Oil and Gas and Energy projects around the world.


Continued business expansion and focus on further developing a blue chip, compliant payroll and employment capability for oil and gas engineers and construction engineers around the world. WTS Energy is during this period operational in 50 countries.


Implementation of WTS Energy ‘Cloud’ strategy where all Admin systems move to state of the art Cloud environment. Company continues to expand organically and through acquisitions to new markets with the
- Establishment of our first office in East Africa in Maputo, Mozambique
- Acquisition of Koli Consulting and creation of WTS Energy Central Europe, in Belgrade, Serbia


Continued growth in challenging market conditions:
- Expansion of operations in Gabon to Port Gentil
- Establishment of a key partnership with Target Oilfield Services, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
- Acquisition of Radar Recruitment, Kenya and creating of a hub office in East Africa.


Launch of the “WTS International” brand to support Clients with activities in Engineering and Construction and Technology projects in East Africa.
